No, the video out will default to the display connector until you boot and
get into the Sound & Video control panel to change it.
Really? When was the 6400 released? Is it old-world + open firmware? If not, that
would explain why my 8600 does and the 6400 won't.
They're *both* OldWorld machines. I don't recall which
version of OF each one used, but NetBSD's macppc site
has a table.
