I DO find it funny that they would make a statement about reliability when
they could not possibly have used it in the way described.

So how
reliable is the person's comment that it is "well used, but very
reliable". If they have been plugging it into a serial port, it hasn't
been doing a thing... if they have been pluging it into a SCSI port and
THOUGHT it was serial... can they be trusted to know that it is
"reliable".
