Hello, I have access to a "Midi Gold 500"
Amiga Midi Interface. Will it
work on the A2000 (I know the A1000 serial port is physically different,
and may be electrically different as well).

Should, the A500 and A2000 are *very* simular machines. The chips
controlling the serial ports are the same.
