IIRC there is a small expansion unit for the MV2000. It features a DD50
for the MFM signals. This allows you to connect an additional, extrnal
MFM disk to a MV2k. Some variants of MV3100 have the same DD50 MFM
connector.

The Qbus
sockets on the back of my Vax 4000-100A are DD50 so I guess
DD50 connectors are used on Qbus cables for at least some
applications?
...?? Interesting. Cabling for a Qbus extension cage, maybe?
