An afterthought--it would be useful to list the non-alphanumeric
characters. They were far from standard in the old days and
sometimes you could tell a maker by the character set.
The 64 character rows are laid out, thusly:
0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 . 8 , 9 - E T A I S O N H R D L U C M F W Y P G
0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 . 8 , 9 - V B K J $ * Q X Z # / + : = ' ( ) > <
The numbers 0-9 are doubled, along with period (.), comma (,) and dash
(-). Character spacing is 1/10 inch. I did some checking on HP drum
printers (originally from Data Products and Data Printer Corp), and none
of them went to 160 columns.
