Those models pop up here in New Zealand now and again and are not THAT rare.
Maybe we were a bit of a test bed for the machine (western country, small
isolated population so if something bombed it didn't take the whole brand
with it..this has certainly been the case in past with other electronic
devices)?

Come to think of it, didn't the IBM 5551 (JX) host
3 floppy drives in
the main box? Better expansion card design than the 5150 also.
That would be a real collectible system, at any rate, along with a
Mitsubishi Multi-16.
