IBM rebadged and resold the HP 7470 and 7475 plotters. That's
probably what you're thinking of. The 7475 is a six-pen plotter, and
only does 8.5x11. The 7550 does 11x17. (dunno whether that matters to
the OP or not)
The 7550 will handle 11x17 if you manually place the page. The paper tray
only handles 8.5x11 though.
