Every C64 I played with as a kid looked like the one at the top of the
screen, with the rainbow logo. When did Commodore switch?
Interesting! I thought those machines were purely marketing and demo
mock-ups used for publicity and advertising. Can you do some pictures of it?
I've got at least one of these as well. I realized it was somewhat unique
but I didn't think it was terribly special. My guess was that all the
earliest models had this emblem.
