Sorry, I meant to add that it's quite apparent that the
Williams-Kilburn tube wasn't as such used in the Whirlwind, but the M.I.T.
Electrostatic Storage Tube was based on a similar principle, even though
the implementation was very different. You are correct, and I should have
checked more than one source. :-)
