I saw yesterday a claim that the 60Hz in the US was a Tesla invention,
but the info didn't elaborate on why he chose that figure if so...
It has to deal with big heavy rotating machines, so that works out to
3000 rpm in the UK and 3600 rpm in the USA for a typical motor.
What telsa did invent was a better electric motor.
