and historic preservation of material related to firms and computers
that no longer exist or are no longer manufactured.
But selling the same information seems to cross the line and is no
longer related to preservation, but rather to commerce.
Or so it seems.

Preservation and distribution are two different things, plus there is the
legality of who gets to do either.
The devil is in the fine print, and none of that matters when you have the
money to go to court and the other person does not.
