So: Moral of the story is the Attache's attempt at
being helpful is
simply misleading, alas.Hopefully this helps someone else someday :).
Having had more than my fair share of misleading diagnostics over the
years, I have learnt never to use them other than to say that _soemthing_
is wrong. I go in with the logic analyser, etc, and generally have the
problem traced in a few minutes...
