Looks like they may have the decoder built into them.
And 16-segment as mike says.
I have a little breadboard wired up with an HP DL1414 and an AT90S1200
that does almost exactly the same thing.
Very similar, but no cursor or discrete addressing mode.
I've got some AIM65s that can also do almost exactly the same thing ;-)
