I had made about three claims on the same problem with their Craftsman ratchet wrenches,
and the current one is experiencing the same problem. I've decided I'm never
buying another Craftsman ratchet wrench again.

Ya...
that was the Sears "Craftsman" brand... don't try that today! :)
Sears still honors the guarantee, even with hand tools purchased now.
