BSD 4.1, 1981. On a VAX 780 of course.
Or at least I presume it was 4.1, given the date. Too early for 4.2
and more likely to be 4.1 than 4.
I actually considered it a step backwards from the system I had been
working on just prior - Verex (Thoth derivative, VKernel precursor).
As a side note, looking at records to check the date, when I moved to
the new project and the unix system my salary increased to .. 1370$/
month.
What does a "junior programmer" or some such categorization get these
days?
