Yep - picking up the hot end of a soldering iron is
another one. Yes, I've
done that once. That was reason I went out and bought a proper stand for the
iron.
And don't have the mains lead where somebody can trip over it. I only
made that mistake once, the iron was pulled back in my hand just far
enought that I was gripping it by the metal element shaft......
