Since the VIC-20 does have a ROM-supported bit-banger
TTL serial port
(easy to attach a 300 baud VIC-MODEM or an RS-232 level shifter to),
it _is_ feasible. The terminal program that comes on cassette with
the VIC-MODEM is kinda crappy, but it's not hard to whip up a VT-52
emulator in BASIC...
22x23 - makes the C-64 look refined by comparison.
I had a 40-column terminal emulator program for the VIC-20 somewhere. I am
also quite sure such a product existed on cartridge.
