The floppy controller chip is what needs changed on the SE, not sure if the
one on the II is solderd on or removable ( I don't own a Mac II).
The batteries (2 needed) for the II are 3.6V 1/2AA axial leads (soldered to
the motherboard unless it has been modified). New model IIx/IIfx etc have
socketed batteries.
