Here, take my 10 year old copy of Minix. BTW, is
anybody up to speed on
the current state of Minix? I have an itch to run *ix on a 128K 8086 box,
and it doesn't look like ELKS is ready for prime time.
I'm pretty sure the version for at least one of the platforms it used to
support is now free. I think that is the Atari ST version. I believe the
x86 version still costs money, and while seriously behind Linux and the BSD
varients is being updated still. I seem to remember seening that it
supports X-Windows now.
I really don't know a lot on it. I looked into running it, way back in '92
when I Linux got me interested in UNIX, but I couldn't afford the small
fortune they wanted for it at that time. I've been threatening to run the
version that is available for free for a while now.
