Either a missing hardware handshake or a missmatch
between hardware and
software (XON/XOFF) handshakes.....
I have a 700/96 term at home on my D230... We also have a flock of them here
at work on HP9K N-boxes. I believe that by default they are set for ENQ/ACK
rather than XON/XOFF.
