Hi,
Thanks for all the responses.  I figured it was some type of
EPROM/EEPROM.  There is a clear window on the chip itself.  I dont know
why someone would want to pry open the IC itself.  Maybe it was faulty
to begin with and they wanted to try to fix it?? As for getting a
replacement, this is probably going to be impossible.  I specifically
dont know anyone else who would have one for me to dump and reload into
a new IC.  This bites with a capital B!  Its such a nice board too....
