Oxford Unabridged Dictionary does all that - plus
works as a
paperweight. and it wouldn't need to be shipped far......
Actaully it doesn't (if I looked up every word in a dictionary, the
overall system performance would drop noticeably). In any case, it's
solving the wrong problem.
If you have a reliable disk system (including the controller, etc)
connected to your terminal by a noisy communications link, then improving
the error correction system of the disk controller will not reduce the
number of errors on your terminal screen.
I _know_ the common term for the energy to move a unit charge between 2
points in a circuit is 'voltage'. But half the time it comes out a
votlage. Lookign the word up in dictionary wil lnot help with that.
