Just so--and it might even be good to derive your ranges for
individual sectors. I'm working with a bunch of 8" samples this week
from some manufacturing equipment and it's
perfectly obvious that
some sectors were rewritten by a somewhat out-of-spec drive.
Since
this is an 8" drive with a line-powered AC motor, my suspicion is a
slipping belt or a dry bearing.
