level. Collecting also allows me to learn electronics,
with systems that are
eminently more understandable and approachable than many modern systems.
That is the main reason that I collect minicomputers, PERQs, etc. I can
get amongst the CPU electornics, I can look at the outputs of the ALU on
a logic analyser, I can watch microinstructions doing their thing. You
can't do that on a micro :-)
And FWIW, I am still learning, and probably will carry on doing that for
a very long time.
