Interesting stuff. When I saw Corning I thought glass fiber (optical pulse signals delay
line) but their development of optical fiber came later, I think.
That Corning document is also interesting because of its comparison of memory technologies
it shows. Tunnel diode memories? Hm. And cryogenic, in 1962? Hm again.
