As I said in a private email, I should have remembered that I used this
monitor to display my Defender boards specifically because it had a 15 KHz

the Q700 is quite reliant on the monitor sense
pins, so I'm using an
Apple 12" RGB monitor that I've verified working on an Apple IIgs.
It doesn't matter what the sense pins read; this monitor will never show a display on
a Q700.
The IIgs outputs a 15kHz horizontal frequency. This display will not sync to any mode the
Q700 can output.
