And the overwhelming response from this community is that it does, and we do.
Perhaps a little harshly put, I think... I don't hate it, and I've used
plenty of closed-source things over the years because they do a job well -
but when faced with an alternative that does the equivalent task and is
open-source and free of acres of legalese, it really is a no-brainer.
Neither product is any more or less likely to stand the test of time -
that's just the way the world works - but at least with the more open one I
feel I have a better chance of migrating to whatever the current best tool
for the job is, should I need to.
