I meant more generally how do you bump into them and establish enough
of a relationship that they'll give you a 'heads up' when they
encounter something you'd be interested in, like 19" racks, mainframe
or minicomputer iron, etc.
That's pretty much an impossiblity! They usually don't know what the
stuff is and in many cases they get loads that they never even look
through. Besides many of them are just too lazt or too busy to call you.
The best way to deal with scrappers is to visit them FREQUENTLY and look
for yourself.
