Hi, I dont have , or cant find as I thought I did have it, the actual data
sheet but I do have the Mullard Technical publication, M81-0001, "LSI
circuits for teletext and viedata THE LUCY GENERATION" and this has a
circuit diagram which shows the pinouts of the 5070 if this would help?

Subject: Re: SAA5070 Datasheet (Tony Duell?)
Hi you all!
In 17/11/2011 Tony Duell asked for the datasheet of SAA5070. Did yo
got
it, Tony? I'm looking for it too.
No, I am still loking for it. I amanged to deduce some of the pinouts,
but the official data would still be interesting.
The SAA5070 is the 'LUCY' IC. It's the 'extra' member of the
original
teletext chipset (SAA5000/5010/5020/5030/5040/5050) and is a 1200/75 buad
modem and some I/O ports. Together with some of the teletext ICs (in
particular the SAA5020 timing chain and the SAA50505 chracter generator,
but sometimes the others were used too), 1K of RAM, some glue logic and a
microcontroller, it was used to make a Prestel set.
It was quite common in Prestel sets, from Philips and others. It was also
used io the UK Commodore 64 Prested cartridge. And probably elsewhere too.
