I've seen several tape reel cases on eBay like the following:

Does anyone know, are those circa System/360, or are they from the 7090 era? I'm
suspecting they predate the 360, but it's hard to tell...
Even if this was 1969, I couldn't tell you--reel cases were common and, as long as I
had one for every reel of tape, I didn't pay much attention. Tape racks of the time were wider-spaced to
accommodate the cases than the later "naked" auto-loading strip type.
And then there were the non-autoloading strips (?tape seals?), too; those were even
smaller.
