Actually you do have a 3rd way. Image the installation cd (or dvd) on an hd, and boot from
that to install

Sadly, the drive I ordered from eBay has the wrong connector, so it won't work for me.
Unfortunately, I can't find any in the UK that match the exact part numbers in the
User Service Guide.
Is there anyone in the UK who has one of the following that they would be willing to part
with?

Alternatively I will look for a SCSI DVD drive I can connect to my InfoServer, as that
seems to be another way to install VMS onto the machine.

That DVD drive looks an awful lot like the CDROM/DVD drives used on
the little HP Vectra E-PCs also. Perhaps another source.
