I'm prototyping an MFM drive eliminator as we speak. It takes quite
a bit more horsepower than a floppy simulator--but modern
microcontrollers are up to the task. The current design is for 5MHz
data clocks (standard MFM); maybe RLL (7.5MHz) later.
