Is it possible to create and configure QBUS DSSI->SCSI (50pin) HDD solution for use

Sure you could do it starting with one of these for $50 or less, for example:
M7769 KFQSA
http://www.ebay.com/itm/160927479769
But then all of the other pieces can add up quickly if you don't
already have them. You need internal DSSI wiring harnesses, or
bulkhead connector kits and external DSSI cables and terminators, plus
DSSI drives or DSSI-SCSI converters.
For fun in the past I have set up a PDP-11 processor (M7554-SD
KDJ11-SD or M8190 KDJ11-B) with an M7769 KFQSA in a BA213 box. Using
a BA213 can make it a lot easier since they often already come with
the internal DSSI wiring harnesses and DSSI drives (example RF31,
RF71, RF72).
You can also use an HSD05 or HSD10 DSSI-SCSI converter instead of a
DSSI drive and I have experimented with that configuration too. But
you'll likely pay more for an HSD05 or HSD10 than the M7769 KFQSA
itself.
If you don't already have the other DSSI pieces you need in addition
to the DSSI controller itself you're probably a lot better in terms of
total expenses just going with a straight Q-Bus SCSI controller. They
aren't that difficult to find nor always outrageously expensive.
