That really confused me when I started fiddling with stuff outside the
DEC world. Prior
to 1995, 100% of my rack experience was with DEC equipment (stuff stretching
from 1964 up to about 1990). It's kinda handy only
dealing with
multiples of 5.25".
Makes it easy to configure systems.
