re: ethics, and copying of copyrightable stuff:
The Grateful Dead have a good idea; they allow copying of
their stuff that was taped live, but fro no cost, not even
"cost recovery" of media. It encourages trading, and a reasonably
bright line for enforcement.
I may have details wrong (and I'm not a deadhead though I think
they're fine; punk and electronic/techno for me) but the gist
is about right.
