I use minicom or picocom unter Linux. With Minicom I have some
problems under OS/8 where it clears the screen after each DIR
output...

Some of the available disk images of OS/8 do that. Some don't. I don't
think it is a PDP8 hardware or UART issue. If I recall it was caused by
an escape sequence. It seemed intentional.
