I object to
the use of the Classic Computer mailing list for advertising
for-sale items on an ongoing basis for profit.
I would object, too, but most of the postings I see have no "obvious"
profit in them. (In particular, items are being sold for a couple
percent of their original sale price, and the "asking prices" honestly
barely cover the effort of packing them up securely and safely.)
*Most* of the "for-sale" posts I read are just trying to find good homes
for equipment - a goal that I can truly appreciate, as I just had to
throw away about 5 tons of old iron before my last move.
