You know your video card is too powerful when it needs its own power
connector. Seriously, a lot of the newer cards actually have a HDD-type power
connector on them, and they take their 5V straight from the power supply
instead of through the PCI connector.
I seem to recall there are a couple of high end cards that need *two* such
connectors due to their insane power consumption. Something like 225W just for
the graphics card...
