FYI
I was looking to see if there was a patent on the 3M Kappamat format, and
came across patent 4422111 which appears to describe the DC600HC 16 track
format. These drives were used in early 80's HP combo winchester/tape
systems. A HCD-75 manual is on bitsavers under 3m/
