I'm using BBEdit (paid version) on my Mac and I really like it. The language plug-ins
are very helpful.

For the Mac, there is TextWrangler (free version
of BBEdit), with many useful capabilities (such as editing a remote file
via an sftp:// URL, for example).
Discontinued some years ago, sadly.
