The STD BUS supports all kinds of processors. I have seen systems with
processors ranging from a 4004 up to a 486. The most common seem to be Z80
based. What processor is in your system?
Yeah. STD BUS is used *all over* the world of motion control in
industrial robotics. Our robots at IBM (interconnect circuit
manufacturing robots) used PowerPC chips on STD BUS cards. STD stands for
"Simple To Design" and they mean it. I know STD BUS very well.
