The VM in BSD has been around for decades,
This actually depends. NetBSD replaced their VM subsystem with Chuck
Cranor's UVM system. This happened sometime between 1.3 and 1.4, which
is years ago, but not yet decades ago. (I don't know about Free or
Open; I don't run them - Free because I have too varied a collection of
hardware, Open because I don't trust anything Theo has been near.)
But yes, I do agree with the basic point that the BSDs are, in general,
stabler than the Linuces.
