But as I understand it, there's no "computing" there except for the word

I do, it's a nice little machine. Mine I think didn't quite work right.
It
worked on something like 4 AA batteries and saved its data on the
microcassette as you mentioned. Looks like a little laptop with a
(single?) line LCD - kind of like the Tandy 100.
