A friend of mine picked up a nice sony 17" (Mac)
monitor, and it has the
old
style DB15 connector. He wants to use it as a VGA
monitor on his PC and I
don't know offhand what the pinouts are, on either end. I can make a
quick
adapter to see if it works okay or not for him.

I don't have the pinouts but can reverse engineer a cable
I have for a Sony 14" VGA/multiscan ca.1988. The monitor has a
db 15 female connector in the back, plus the appropriate cable,
sounds like what you have.
