I did that for a long time. A company I worked for did that as a
service. It was messy, but profitable. One has to be work hard to
prevent plastic chips from drilling from getting into the toner
reservoir; they will ruin a drum in short order.

I can't take 'em, but it's a shame to see them go. Hmm, come to
think of it, I'd probably give a home to a clean original HP LaserJet
Series I.
