Outside of any IP legal issues (and there may be some whoppers), the
value of the MP is, IMOHO, in the software, not the hardware. When
the MP was created, technology was very limited. You're better off
with a Catweasel or rolling your own with a PIC or AVR.
I designed an Apple II disk controller piggybacked onto a PC (to do
drive control) back in the early 80's. There's plenty of info around
about the format and one would be almost trivial now.
I wouldn't bother trying to RE an old card.
