You know though... every washing machine my family has owned with a mechanical
timer/sequencer eventually died and needed replacement. My last dishwasher (with
electronic controls, but mechanical sequencing/timing) the sequencer started
getting flakey. Somethings mechanical good, somethings not so much.

at a nearly-40-year-old Sharp microwave oven and marvels at the
