Depends on what
you mean by NEC Multisync. A number of models have been
mentioned in response to your original request. I believe Dan Burrow's
summary corresponds to the NEC Multisync II. Not the 2A or other members
of the "2" series or 3's or higher. Note the Roman numeral. Says
"Multisync II" right on the front.
I was quoting from the manual for the JC1401P3A for what it is worth. It
also has all the pin outs for both analog and digital along with other
related stuff. My scanner is down right now but I could FAX it if someone
wants.
The database lists it as a Multisync, no number. Common sense says it is
the monitor before the II. It is listed with the 9-pin connector but also
a horizontal frequency of approx 31kHz and 640x480 only and no higher.
VGA is a certainty, TTL is probable, but the question is whether it can
do the low or near VGA of approx 600x200. Perhaps the monitor
database (which I pointed out as incomplete) is wrong.
Either model will be sufficient for the original poster who just wanted
VGA. However I will stick by my recommendation that every person
collecting old computers should have a couple Multisync IIs sitting
around because they are capable of handling a wide range of signals.
No composite though, which would have made a nice clean sweep.
