name for it; "iso-propanol" is a more
modern version of the same name;

is "propan-2-ol"...
Since it's been years since I've been in a chem lab... when did this
naming convention hit the States? In 1985, I'm fairly certain we
called it isopropanol. Perhaps my education was behind the times.
