Can someone refresh my hazy memory? Would that
qualify as a
"computer"?
I would not consider it. I think you could do much the same with a
small pile of 7400 combinatorial logic.
I think there were a few makers of automatons that employed very
simple feedback mechanisms for some minor amount of variation every
time they are played.
